About

In recovery from cancer, while growing and developing an organic vegetable and herb garden, I sensed a growing awareness and inner peace when close to nature, watching its life-giving properties, which triggered my desire to learn more about its essence.
In 2016 I was diagnosed with terminal cancer, but I survived due to the love of my wife, family and friends and the expert medical care I received.
While tending my plants I sensed a feeling of calm and joy at just being alive surrounded by the beauty and vibrance of life.

Simon's Town, a suburb of Cape Town in the Western Cape, South Africa, has been a naval base and harbour for more than two centuries. It has a Mediterranean climate and is located on the shores of False Bay, on the eastern side of the Cape Peninsula and provides year-long vegetable growing opportunities.
