Cherry Tomatoes

Cherry tomatoes are compact and grow easily, seeding from previous crops and mature earlier than most larger varieties.

They are also less susceptible to pests and diseases and more adaptable to drought.
I grew seeds I had purchased from a nursery that did not record the variety on the package.  It grew rapidly but later perished possible because it became shaded by neighbouring plants.

Fortunately, in another garden area, a cherry tomato had seeded itself from a previous crop that had grown next to a newly planted guava tree.

I pruned it regularly, and it grew tasty, season-long versatile cherry tomatoes that were delicious in salads and cooked preparations.
