Ox Heart

This tomato is an old Italian preserving tomato variety. It's heavily lobed, and often the convoluted shape indicates early nineteenth-century tomato varieties but makes an oddity in today's vegetable garden.
However, I decided to grow the variety and gave it the name "Ox Heart" because of its shape.
I planted from seed in October 2020. The plant proliferated and required the usual tomato trellising and pruning. The first flower buds were produced in November, followed by flowers and fruit in December.



Although not as prolific as the other varieties of tomatoes, their delightful taste makes them a winner. The Oxheart tomatoes are delicious, perfect for slicing and are delicious when grilled.
Soon the delicious tomatoes were harvested and eaten. However, there was ongoing tomatoes production in keeping with the indeterminate variety as the vines continued to grow:
